Indigenous Designs garments are made by the hands and hearts of artisans in many types of communities throughout the globe. By working directly with these artisans and their knitting cooperatives, a strong partnership has evolved to support their visions in managing sustainable commerce. Indigenous Designs assists the artisans with quality control measures, sound production and planning management, as well as research and design for the local and world markets.

Indigenous Designs sets their prices together with the cooperatives in hopes that it will economically enable these artisans to have the ability to guide their own development in a way that sustains tradition, home, land use, and community bonds while resisting destructive influences. Indigenous Designs utilizes NGO and Knitting Cooperative efforts for over 50% of its product line. In all cases Indigenous Designs applies Fair Trade principals and high environmental standards to their production.
